During your appointment, Dr O’Neill will discuss with you the specific problem that has brought you to see her. In most cases she will examine you and review any x-rays or medical tests that you have had done.
She will then discuss with you the options for the management of this condition. This may include further investigations or a recommendation for surgery. Where surgery is recommended, Dr O’Neill will discuss the specific procedure, what it involves and the possible risks of the surgery. Feel free to ask questions to be sure you understand what is being recommended.
Please ensure you discuss any other medical conditions with Dr O’Neill and that she is aware of the regular medications that you take (both prescription and herbal).
